1
ANXIETY

Read the signal differently

Anxiety often shows up when something matters and the future is uncertain. Instead of treating the feeling itself as the enemy, ask what it may be trying to mobilize you toward.

What does the physical energy feel like?
Try the reframe: “My body is giving me energy because this matters. I can use that energy.”
2
FEAR

Separate danger from forecast

Fear is useful when it helps you respond to an immediate threat. It becomes much less useful when a possible future is treated as if it were already happening.

Which best describes this fear?
Grounding question Is this happening now—or am I experiencing a forecast as if it were reality?
3
OVERTHINKING

Find the demand for certainty

Overthinking often disguises itself as responsible planning. The giveaway is that there is always one more thing you feel you need to know before you can move.

Which pattern sounds most familiar?
“Uncertainty is a feature of life. The goal is not to eliminate it, but to become more capable of meeting it.”
4
THOUGHTS

Treat thoughts as mental events

A thought can feel urgent, vivid, and convincing without being the same thing as reality. You think thoughts. You do not have to obey, solve, or believe every one of them.

I’m having the thought that…
What would be most useful right now?
Remember: A thought does not become reality because it is vivid, repetitive, or uncomfortable.

YOUR PRACTICAL PLAN

When I Start Overthinking

You do not need to win an argument with every anxious thought. You need a reliable way to respond when the loop begins.

A note about anxiety: This worksheet is educational and is not a substitute for mental-health care. If anxiety is severe, persistent, or interfering substantially with daily life, consider discussing it with a qualified clinician.

1
START WHERE YOU ARE

Notice the deficit scan

Exhaustion often begins with the feeling that there is never enough. The needs may be real. The trap is making “not enough” the starting point for the whole day.

Where do you most often feel behind right now?
Reframe: You do not need perfect terrain. You need the capacity to walk the terrain you actually have.
2
CLARITY

Build your Resilience Map

Shift from what is missing to the assets already present—and the direction you genuinely want to move. The map does not need to be perfect. It needs to be meaningful enough to start walking.

Strengths, relationships, routines, resources, qualities, or small wins that are already working.

What qualities do you want more of in your family?

Choose the ones that matter most. You can add your own below.

We want our home to feel more like…
“Your map is enough to start walking.”
3
CONSISTENCY

Choose one Antifragile Practice

Resilience is built by practicing the qualities you value while walking through real, imperfect terrain. Pick one small daily action—not a total family overhaul.

Choose a quality above and you’ll see a simple example.
Daily question What can I practice today that makes our map real?
4
CONNECTION

Celebrate the Journey

Don’t make family life one long correction loop. Create a recurring moment to recognize what is working, appreciate one another, celebrate progress, and then learn together.
